Hubby ran an old post up into the chopper yesterday. :( They were down for about 3 hours. When you do custom chopping you run into risks like that. Hoping for a better day today. Also they're running the second chopper at another place today too.

do you charge for damage such as that?

We had one place where there was a lot of wire & trash in the field. The chopper have a metal sensor that shuts them off if it detects metal or wire. I think they added something to the price for this place because they had so much trouble. Usually they don't charge unless it's really bad.
They also almost tipped the packing tractor the other day when it was on top of the silage pile. That was a scary moment!
