I bought a Sooner in 1992, pulled it all over the country, and sold it in 2007 for what I paid new. Never needed any repair other than tires. Ferrell Trailers, Oklahoma.

We have a newer elite for shows and an early 2000s keifer for hauling cows.
We love, our elite. Rides way smooth and pulls awesome.
I'd recommend an elite, just make sure you look at all the possible options and don't rush into buying one

Just bought a 20 ft Wilson with 3 compartments and love it. Have several friend s that have Wilson too and they will never own anything else. Had a 20 ft featherlite before will never own another rear gate and rear end aren't built heavy enough for what we do but we are in the mountains a lot so it's probably good enough for most/

Have an Eby and very pleased with it. Whatever you get, make sure that you have a rolling cut gate.

We have a 1990 Barrett that has survived 2 tornadoes. The last tornado flipped the trailer at least 8 times and a quarter mile from where it was parked. The only thing that broke loose was the back swing gate and the trailer had a lean to it that we worked out.

We pull a 20ft featherlite, love it, pulls great, but not as handy as I'd like for showing. It sits probably 4in higher than most trailers. We're looking to keep this for hauling cows and everyday use, but we're looking into an Eby or Elite, something w/a side ramp, awning and outside lights.
My only suggestion would be to look around at all of your options and not settle for something. You can likely get what you want for not much more.

we actually bought a used Jamco yesterday, its only 15 miles down the road from our place, its not what we set out for however we are thinking down the road we may want to upsize so for now this 20 foot will do the job. This way I figure we will know more what we like and dislike about it and what we might want as options on our next trailer.

If you are getting a new trailer one thing I would suggest getting would be the floating cut gate,mine doesn't have it but I wish it did.

I've pulled many brands. Mine and those I borrowed. My favorite by far was 4-Star trailers out of OKC: http://www.4startrailers.com. Order it just like you want it. Ramp on the side. Ramp on the rear. Remove saddle rack to stack buckets, forks, etc in the rear. Put your tack room door on the "street" side giving you a longer wall on the opposite side. Very well made. Very accommodating. Custom at regular price?! I highly recommend them.

I have a 1996 Sooner with more miles than a space shuttle. Tires and brakes only and still solid as a rock. Pulled all the matts out last year to inspect the floor and it was still in great shape.

There are quite a few nice brands out there. Honestly it's going to come to to two things. 1. $$$$$$ and 2. The features you want.

I'm not sure where you are located but Brad Davis in Iowa handles new and used trailers, mainly aluminum. If he can't find what you looking for it probably doesn't exist. I know he delivers to Texas and points on the way. Really nice guy and sells steers and, no, he is not my brother-in-law. 319-750-7665.
