I am looking for a creep feed to use this year and was wondering what products everyone used or what your custom mixes are, also what percent protein and fat are they? Are they self limiting or are they limit fed? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance

Our creep ration: 60% cracked corn, 20% cottonseed hulls, and 20% Accuration  range supplement 33.

We always start them off with a non accuration mix to get them started good, once they are eating good we just put the accuration mix on top, it blends in with the other feed so they can adjust to it. Our intakes are about .75% to 1% pounds of feed per body weight per day.  If there intakes get too high for your liking then you can increase the accuration supplement and just decrease the corn.

How much do the accuration products cost? dhs do you use the non medicated version or one of the medicated versions of the accuration range supplement?

I use a blend called stocker 10 that is 10 percent protein, 3 percent fat, 30 percent fiber plus bovatec.  I am feeding it free choice with no issues.  Price yesterday was $232/ton.

The Accuration Range Supplement 33 that I have been using is medicated with Rumensin, It has been running somewhere 37 to 38 dollars per hundred.

Per calf crop, my ingredients change but I always have a base of whole soybeans and cracked corn. Soybeans are 40% protein and high in nutrients while the cracked corn gives the calf easy access to the energy.
