Hi everyone! I enjoy coming to look and finally I have joined! But anyways I am looking for a new heifer. I am located in New England ( CT) and am looking for a show heifer in New England, PA. NY area. Anyone have any suggestions? I am looking to keep it under $1500. I would like a Maine, Shorthorn or clubby type calf. Thank you in advance!

if you can, you might consider coming to the Ohio Beef Expo the weekend of the 16th. Lot's of good heifers & many will be in your price range.  (welcome)

Als there is a Maine breeder in CT called White House cattle. she had high selling heifer at last year's expo. You might look her up.

We dont get along....... the problem is that i contacted sale management that said that it will be no more then $300 to get a heifer to a central point. so if that puts her in NY/PA area it then costs me $300 to get her form there... so now unfortunately the $1500 heifer becomes a $2100 heifer. But sale managment says that they have 21 more heifer entries this year then last.. does anyone know (or think they know) what they are gonna bring? I would love to get my hands on one of yours RED!

We still have some fairly nice heifers the farm. They're not broke but would work w/ on price because of so.
I have 3 heifers of mine own up there. They're nice but just not expo quality.

http://www.prefstock.com/  Try any of the shorthorn breeders on this sight. I would recomend any of them as they are all supper nice guys and great to work with. They usually have a production sale but didn't last year so they should have some heifers around. Most of them are in PA.

These are two cows that we own that were either bred by or purchased from Dave McElhaney.
