We purchased a Sunseeker Heifer from Paul and Nancy Schmitz. Paul passed away in a farm accident this spring but I believe she still has some cattle on lease and yes she is from Oakes, ND. I know they had some really great cattle. I don't have here # right know but if you need it I could probably locate it for you. I know they were at the ND state fair last week and gave away a pig hauler in Paul's memory. I believe she took the summer off from work so she could be with the kids during the show season. You also may want to check out the Melroe's near Gwinner, MN. They raise Chi-Angus cattle. Also Jeff Boesl may have a couple calves that may be for sale. They are listed under the Brandon-Evansville, MN area and are not that terribly far from Fargo. Don't know what you are looking for but a couple other names are the Nords out of Rothsay, MN, only about 45-60 minutes from Fargo. They raise registered Angus and also our neighbor Albert Werner raises angus and commercial about 1700-1900 head but mainly feeders. I would offer some of our stock but we have run of the mill commercial and our children just started AI with some fancy club and Maine bulls this year but we may have a Dirty Hairy steer for sale at the MN beef expo. He will be shown by a friend of my daughters as a prospect at MN State Fair. We have a Wave on Wave heifer and Sunseeker my daughters are showing but they are not for sale. The Wave on Wave Heifer has won many shows already and originally came from JT Weber. We also have a Texas Hold'em cow and Ali Cow that did well as heifers last year but they are the future of my daughters showing carrier so I dont think they would be for sale.
