going from the pic, she could maybe have a little more neck extension, but that's nothing the right bull won't change. lol

is she really a draft pick  8)
On the same lines, is she really bred to HW, or is it going to be a calf out of the cleanup bull?  I wasn't too sure on how to read the catalog on the breeding dates.  Let us know.

well i had the same question but here is what i figured out.  they started the clean up bull on june 1, and if she would be bred the very first day he was exposed, then she would calve a week or so into march.  she is due the 25th of february so there i conclude she is bred AI. Now if she doesnt calve until a week into march i will know she was bred natural.  so the cows that were due anytime in january or february are most likely bred AI.  we asked joe specifically and he was 95% sure she was bred to HW. The reason i am sure she is bred to heat wave is because they decided last spring to sell the heard, and therefore you can see that all there cows were bred to big name bulls to help them bring more money.

I had the same thought as you until I went to the sale.  When they know that there are 4 opens, that had been listed as breds in the catalog, that means there has been someone in there to pregcheck.  I do not know if they just confirmed that the cows were bred or open, or if they also were checking to see if they were bred to their AI date or later.  As a buyer, I would want to know if the cow is AI'd or bull bred, but I understand as the seller that they want to leave the mystery of a chance at a great HW or an ok Vincent in order to get more $$$.  I've been burnt before on purchasing bred cows in this same kind of AI/cleanup bull situation, about 75% of which ended up bull bred, and it doesn't leave too good of an impression.

Good luck to you with your purchase.  Hopefully Joe was right and she calves early to HW, not late to Vincent.

I think what some people are saying... is that they are not sure if the Sire and breeding information is legit due to the stories I have heard about!!! So maybe you should get them DNA tested... Im not sure just from what I have heard

she looks mighty good! what has she produced?

would you flush her to Vortec?
they sold an ali bred heifer that was pretty good out of her.  I will most likely flush to meyer or depending on what heat wave does to her, maybe that.
