i have a paddy omalley heifer that is currently bred to calve to our angus herd bull in april. her dam is a simxangus cross.
i am really having problems trying to decide what to breed her too. i would really like to try and get some high % maines out of her descendants because i love some of the things she has to offer. as far as her faults she needs to have a little more volume and mass and just stoutened up a little. she is extremely sound and profiles nicely and has a feminine look about her.
we had a suggestion to use Open Bar on her but that is kinda of breeding the same line again and i'm not too excited about that. i am at a total loss as to thinking of bulls that will add some body and a little frame wouldn't hurt but i think something like hannibal would get a little too tall.
any help would be great.
