not sure about keeping him a bull,we dont have the budget to promote one but if someone wanted him as a bull we would listen to offers

You could always sell half of him or quarter interests or whatever and split the costs with the new owners if you promote him.

herf i never really thought about it that way just not real sure about trying the bull thing

Its a very fund consuming process to promote a bull. Everyone that I've talked to says it takes a LONG time to pay of promotion prices plus what you have in the calf which wouldnt be a whole lot since you raised it. But promoting a bull will eat up the first years semen profits and then you have all the other expensives to pay off:vet, collection fees, travel, time, feed, etc,etc... Or just work him real hard, get him lookin real good, and sell him as a bull for someone else to promote if he turns out that good, thats where you'll make you're most money. Best of luck either way and a darn good calf you got there.

He's a pretty darn good calf in my book, but I would die for his mom's pedigree.

The few Monopolies I have seen this year were opposite ends of the scale. Very average to exceptional. I would say from the one photo he is pretty exceptional. Looks like he is clean made and is adequate  bone and muscle. Is he compact or shorter bodied? Hard to tell from one picture. He looks great. I have heard Totally Tuned females were pretty good steer makers.
