If you are a believer in the old saying,"the more masculine the bull, the more feminine the females.", then I expect some phenomenal ladies to be produced by him. How has his hfrs looked so far?

If only more beef bulls looked like him!!  You have a very good bull!  There is no question that he is a the herd sire when you drive into his pasture. I see so many places that are using a bull that you have to scan over the herd a couple times before you figure out which animal is the bull. I am a big time believer that masculine bulls sire more feminine, more fertile and more productive daughters. If only we could convince some of the show judges to start picking bulls with masculinity like this!

We keep hearing about dimorphism in cattle.

In this communication age it's time to prove it.

People are used to seeing cows that look like steers.

As for the bull, he looks a little odd for me, almost as if a slight form of double muscling is being expressed.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Yes his daughters have been very feminine and broody. The thing that intrigues me most about this bull is that he is sound as a cat. Love his structure. We collected him and have used him on our commercial cows for over 4 years now. Lots of good calves out of him and we have been using 100 plus straws each year as we are using him as the sole charolais for our charolais red angus cross cows. The bull himself is now at a pb charolais herd and they are flushing heavily to him. I got that picture the other day and couldn't help but post it.

His reg number is M792834, says he has no milk but we have about 100 cows in production that would prove otherwise. I do have some pics of daughter that I will post later.

I guess I don't have any mature cow pictures of his daughters but I have a couple bred heifer pictures and a calf picture.

He looks extreme to me, like a heavy muscle terminal kind of bull. When I think masculine I think more crest and less hindquarters..but if he is working with your cows and the calves fit your environment then that's what counts. I like those curly headed Charolais bulls myself, but I don't know anything about it.

As I understand the milk EPD is in pounds of calves at weaning from the daughters of a sire. Even if his daughters have plenty of milk the calves from a negative milk EPD (-11) sire are suppose to be lighter than those from a sire with a positive milk EPD in the same environment. But you know computer numbers and reel life...

Wow, he is huge! He almost reminds me of a piedmontese, what with them being double muscled. I think he is beautiful and a great example of what bulls should look like! (clapping)
