This thread makes me happy, we bought 10 straws of Bellringer and 10 Straws of Bayou while we were at the junior nationals. I think they will both work really well on my stouter made cows.
WHO IS BAYOU ?

interesting bottomside of the pedigree on your dustorm bull.. What can you tell me about the Crocodile Dundee bull?

Bayou is a maternal brother to charisma--- had a page ad in last month's show circut I think.

Bayou is a solid red Creole son.  He is a full brother to Charisma.  He is a really stout big hipped bull I think can raise a steer or heifer down here in Oklahoma.  He is really sound on his feet and is just a good package.  He is a red bull who I think can help stouten up some of my cows.  His reg # x4179548.  I like him better than Bellringer but I am not sure he will be as easy calving.  I am going to use him on mature cows.  He goes back to CF ringo on the cows side.  I think Vogels has a video of him on thier web page.

so what's the bull to make them stout?  Seems to be a common thing-- breed this bull to your stout cows-- but a small % of hte breed is actually 'stout'.. so what's supposed to get used on the rest?

I like Bellringer in alot of ways-he does roach up in his back when he walks, and there is a slight cuvrature of the spine in all the calves pictured,-and they changed that in his latest pictures on Cattle Visions-Which I think was unessecary-there are enough good things about him and his calves AND, he is one of the FEW-allaround usefull bulls out there right now-that also makes em grow.and SHOW.Kinda like some of the black ones O0
