How do you figure the dosage to take the edge off of one?

Sometimes. Our steer last year was "high headed", and it took the edge off him. My daughter's heifer this year gets pushy in the ring, she was shown as a calf on a pair and got away with moving, so she learned some bad habits. We have tried it on her, and honestly it takes a little of the edge off her, but the Sullivan's paste worked much better as long as it is given several hours prior to showing. She is just a pain in the ring, not wanting to stay set up for more than a few seconds before she starts moving out of place, which makes showmanship really hard. It took two tubes of the Sullivan paste, which is almost $20, and not worth it in my opinion for a showmanship class. We used it at regionals and nationals, and that was it.

If you buy the 3mg tablets, give 33 for a couple of days and see if it makes a difference. You can adjust from the 33, up or down depending on how it effects them, I would not go over 40.
