Michael Vick being allowed to play football. Good or Bad
I dunno if i like this guy being allowed back into the league. Probly not the best role model for the kids.
Would you let him watch your cattle for a day?

i think it remains to be seen....good or bad, him being a role model or not...if he straightens his life up and becomes a spokesperson against  animal abuse, then hey, why not!  i think its all up to him now...he's been given a second chance, will he make the most of it or blow it...

I say " ban him for life". He made his life situation, let him pay the price. I am willing to bet he treats other humans (and particularly women) the same way he treated the dogs.  Giving him a second chance only reinforces the belief that you can do anything and get away with it.  What a role model for someone to look up to.
He is a pathetic waste of space and poor use of oxygen.

(I bet no one would have guessed that I would have such an opinion huh?!)

He will make the perfect recruit for Jerry Jones.  Now that TO is gone, we need another derelict.

Let him play!! He served his time I don't necessarily agree with punishment fitting the crime but he did what he was sentenced to do now he deserves his chance to regain his living. As for being a role model he's still got a large following so he has the chance to speak out and help inform those on the problems of animal abuse will he do it... Idk but he deserves a chance if some team wants him

Ban him for life and while your at it put him back in jail. How did our system let him get out so early, oh thats right, you can do pretty much anything and only do a few years for it.... Especially if youre a celeb. I agree with Showheifer.

I don't care if he plays or not. My issue is did you watch any of the video footage when they raided his compound? He just didn't dapple in it. He got into it full blown. They dug up a lot of carcass's on the property as well. Do you really think he will change because he had a prison stint? People like him don't change they learn how to hide it. Not saying he will go back in to it but him as a spokes person for animal cruelty is kind of an oxymoron. I think society puts WAY too much emphasis on professional sports.

good or bad, society agreed on the penalty.  he paid it.  if you don't allow him to work, he won't pay taxes on the revenue and he will be a drain on society, and america, the country of 2nd chances will have lost one of it's most precious assets. (2nd chances, not vick).

if you don't like the penalty, vote someone in office who will make the penalty more than ted kennedy paid. and many others.

we live in a society based on contracts.  if you change the contract after the fact, then you have tyranny.

paying the price is not getting away with it.

He can find a job, just like the rest of us. He doesn't deserve millions of dollars for playing football. He can flip burgers for all I care.

Honestly hes prob gonna get back into it once hes rich again anyway - like drug dealers dont stop dealing drugs just because they were in prison. He should have more prison time for animal abuse but according to our justice system its just dogs right? Like a few of you guys said im sure he treats those around him sooo well - I think its a desensitization thing for one - if you can stand there and watch animals rip eachother apart and beat them and whatever else to get them to that point you arent going to feel a lot of remorse for bad actions in other parts of your life
