Mini Herefords

I have a family that is wanting to get a Mini Hereford steer for their youngest son. Never showed them back when I was showing, I like the idea. Where can they show though? Just don't know a lot about where they can go with them or even much information about them.

We got one for my 5 year old sister. Here in Iowa she will show her at a few open jackpot shows, Iowa beef expo in Feb, and the state fair in Aug.

If we wanted to we could go to Kansas  City, Louisville, Denver.... All those shows as well. They just show at different times than the "main" breeds.

I think they also have a jr. National show too.

Brad Fordyce In Ohio has some really top notch mini's. He has done really well in Louisville.

Brent White in Blakesburg, Iowa has some darn good ones and has had quite a bit of success with them. Iowa has there own breed division for them at all the junior shows. There is also shows at state fair and I know at Denver, KC and Louisville. They also had there first ever junior nationals last year.
