I was just wanting to get some opinions on my miniature hereford pair. I know the picture isn't the greatest angle to view the calf from.

I don't know anything about miniatures. BUT, quality is quality. The cow looks like she is easy feeding with lots of rib shape and top to her. Her baby looks like it will follow her pattern. Nice pair. thanks for sharing.

So curious, how big is a miniature hereford calf when it is born? It would be interesting to see someone standing behind them for reference as I can imagine that calf is tiny!

He was a really big calf for a mini. He was 75 pounds at birth but normal is around 50.

They look really good, seen some minis before, the calfs are cool looking when they are born. My wife would love to get some, we have the standard size Herefords.

That looks like one stout little calf! I really like him! I am using a regular hereford/Angus to produce some percentage lowlines, and this last calf was 70# at 5 days late.  These little guys are just awesome, that calf was stout thick, and fed really easy! He was 440 when I sold him in April(born in Oct)

Females are supposed to be 45 inches or under and bulls 48 inches and under. This cow is just over it, but she was eligible for all the shows she was entered in, and was measured there. Her calves will have no problem being shown and meeting the requirements.

I know nothing about mini anythings, but these are so darn cute.  My four yr old daughter has wanted one for as long as she could talk and it is so tempting.  Just not sure what we would do with it in the long run.  Good looking pair.  I love when I see mini's that don't look like they are an accident of nature.  Great Job!

There is a junior show at all of the Miniature Hereford Shows, and they can show as young as 3. If you didn't want to have a long term attachment to minis there are steer classes.
