Didn't want to hijack the other post about Mo better, but I was curious of the differences in these two. Sorry if this has been asked before, searched and didn't find anything.  Would like to know what some with more experience think. Thanks.

We used Mo Magic on a first calf heifer mainly to clean her up in the neck....got a little bull calf that is pretty clean on the front and marked up really cool too.  I was just curious what Mo Better does alot of people on here talk about him.

Have used Mo Better alot and also seen alot of Mo better cattle - He will add some rib shape and usually alot of body depth. Usually a blaze face and/or baldy face,  i did get one out of an old X339U cow that was brockle face with more white than a Holstein . Started using MoMagic this year on variety of 1/2sim and PB simm and look forward to see what happens then. I do have about 15 MoTown calves this year and WOW, bought 30 more units this year. all calved easy without problems,  i know his growth EPDS are average but all of our calves are really growing and are the best looking group right now. Sorry i don't have pictures to share

If I was picking between the two, I'd go with Mo Better. I've seen quite a few of his calves, and they are just about as consistent as they come. I'm not saying they are the showiest, coolest calves, but they are TANKS. They are all just really deep, soggy, functional, and sound. I've never used Mo Magic because A) He isn't really proven. B) He's a halfblood and I have a bunch of percentage females and C) His dam is an NH carrier. But obviously Mo Magic is a Mo Better son, you I guess my theory is why just use his more proven sire...but time will tell on Mo Magic.

He's out of a purebred Simmy cow named Mo Love. She is an amazing cow that won at Fort Worth, Houston, and  many other shows

I can't really speak about the mo better calves but the mo magic's...yes.  Not to take anything away from them at all, they are big bodied, sound moving calves (bulls), but he kinda splatters em up a little.  I've had a couple bull calves and believe me, I was not a fan at first.  But once those calves got older they really bellied down and stoutened up and really started growing on me.  The color patterns were a little hard to get used to, but they sure are some good doin calves.

I'm glad to hear that...we have a feb calf and right now I am not impressed. He needs a little more depth and alot more hip and muscle down his leg.  On the positive he is extremely clean on the front end, considering he came from a purebred simmi that has so much leather she could pass for a simbrah.

Wyatt, it really depends on the cow. If you breed him with a good homozygous black cow, you will have a greater chance for the calf not to have speckles or to be solid with a white or blaze face.
