I have been searching for bulls to breed to some Angus cows for replacement heifers and stumbled upon Mommas Boy. Meyer on the top and Harietta on the bottom....wow. For those who have used him what have your results been? What type of female does he work best on?

We used him on a PB Simmi cow. The heifer calf we got from this mating was very eye appealing from the side profile and choke fronted. I would have like to have added a little muscle and bone though.

Here's one out of a Goldmine x Joker pb simmy cow. Seems to me that he is best on deeper bodied stout boned cows. You wouldnt believe it by the picture but this girl is yak haired in the winter ! Check out the past Royal Edge Sale ads and you will find a bunch over the years.

Key words for me are years "past". What have they moved onto themselves and why?

The few I have seen I was not impressed with; light boned and not a ton of mass (really, they looked like average angus with a blaze). But they did make good mothers.

Good bull when used on good cows, like any other bull. He seems to me to be the most consistent out of the 3 promoted Meyer x Harietta bulls. The Supreme champion heifer at the Michigan Winter Classic was a Mamas boy from Winegardner.

If your cows have some shape to them he will work just fine, I love the bull but not on every cow out there. If your cows are average I would use a bull like Macho or a Dream On son.
