Looking at a Monopoly and a Heat Wave heifer in an online sale, both are out of the same cow (PB char by HooDoo).  Do Heatwave's or Monopoly's tend to make better cows? Both are around the same price.

Thanks

monopoly heifers generally make better cows because Monopoly's dam is an angus cow. It can also depend on who the heifer's dam is too.

That's what I had thought. Both are by the same HooDoo donor. Only difference is the HeatWave is a touch more feminine and and is white/smoke, the monopoly has a lot more depth and is a straight smoke.

I have seen some good cows out of both but they must have top quality dams that milk enough.I don't keep hardly any clubby bred females and use mostly LF bulls and have excellent results.Took a couple bred Mon this year in trade on steers both had been shown and had near perfect conformation and one went to auction Fri.]lack of milk]and other was sold w/calf[did average].Cattle bred for hair and bone usually make much better males. The end of our calves that didn't make the cut weighed over 600# and brought $301 per hundred all sired by Milkman and they were really good feeding cattle.
