Cold and rainy weather "welcomed" the big crowd to the MSU End of a Legacy Hereford sale at the MSU Beef Barn - the barns looked great, the crowd was big and the cattle looked fabulous - hats off to Cody Sankey and the MSU student crew for a great job - many of the former students, managers and faculty were there - high seller was MSU Keepsake 32N for 19K - cattle sold thru out the US (coast to coast) and Canada

Note - this does not include the embryos and I make no promise that it is 100% accurate but these are the numbers I wrote down during the sale. In addition MSU is keeping approx 10 Hereford females - in lot 2 A-F for example 32N ET heifers -  buyers picked A, B, & C, E was out due to health and MSU kept D

They probably need more money for the diversity infrastructure as well as victim studies.

I am a student at MSU and i personally have no respect left for our administartion, it hasnt been made public but im sure without a doubt there wont be an animal left here in 10 years, maybe sooner. for being an ag school they sure dont care about the ag program. the administartion im sure somehow will manage to get their hands on the almost 410,000 generated yesterday and they will dump it into all the minoritie programs and let the farms and the ag/animal science students suffer.
i know there wasnt any picket or anything but if you look at the comments left on the purebred beef units facebook page this had to have been the most PROTESTED sale in the history of cattle.

410k ought to cover the salary of a diversity officer reporting to the provost and maybe two victim studies professors.

They will have more money if they sell the farmland and lay off all the ag professors.
