National FFA Convention

Which of our fellow steer planeteers will be headed to indy next month? we need to all meet up with each other while we are down there

Ill be headin over there if everything goes right.

Was there last year and had a blast.

I've been there the past three years. It's been awesome. I'm gonna try to make for the fourth time!!!

Sadly this will be the first since I joined that I won't be attending.  Didn't win anything this year and didn't get elected to state office.

Well I'm already here!!!!!!!!!!!! lol It is kind of nice to live 30 mins North of downtown indy, but yes I agree and get together would be awesome!

yeah your lucky lol we are coming from texas. im a freshman and my chapter can only take eight (we only have 60 kids in my high school ffa chapter) and i was the only freshman invited so  hopefully all is good and i get to go. im really looking foward to it

The Better Question is:  Who is going to pick up an Award?  Any American FFA Degree recipients on SP?  Let's hear some well-earned Brags!

My students are going back for a 3-Star Chapter Award and to present as a Models of Innovation Chapter in the area of Community Development.  Also have a couple of teams going.

k we are closing in on a week now. any body else on here going to be in indy next week? if anybody wants to meet in person, p.m me and i can give you my phone number. i think it would be an awesome oppritunity and a rare chance to meet some of the people we chat with on this site

Found out that I wont be able to go because my advisor decided to take all freshmen this year.

im going to kentucky next year, i am not elgible this year because the seniors took the places. which i hate because they are leaving in the spring but what ever. if anyone is going next year we should meet up

What I'm pissed about is the American Royal has put the youth shows on the same weekend.  I honestly don't care about the AR anymore.  Crappy facilities, crappy location,....blow the thing up and move out to the racetrack...get some new managment.

Not sure what you mean here but the convention will be in Indy for 3 more years.  A 7 year contract was signed and I believe we are in the fourth year.  It will then move to "Loua-vul" for 4 years then back to Indy for 4 years...

This has been a strange year for me.  I am still looking for members to go.  A lot of kids don't want to miss a week of school.  i like to take some younger members to inspire them.
