Here's the link to the National Shorthorn Show and Sale catalogue, to be held next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 12 and 13, in Dubbo, NSW.
There are some really good bulls catalogued for this year; hopefully the sale goes somewhere near as good as the Poll Herefords did today!

Also here's a link to a Facebook album with photos of sale bulls

Some goodlooking dudes-judging from the rwms colors either Moombie Powerplay has come back through the genes or there are some maines in the woodplie-Id guess it could come from the linebred Gold Blood, that goes back to Enticer. Funny thing is that those are some of the most prominent calving ease genetics and lowest BW EPDS up here. O0

Lot 3 reminds me of an old Byland bull, seems like Hawk or Explorer was his hame.  Lot 23 reminds me of Super Dazzler.  Looks like an interesting set of bulls.  I wonder how sound that deep, thick lot 95 is on his rear legs.  Hard to tell from a picture.

Thought some may find this one interesting. This is one of the first sons of UK sire Chapelton Wildfire to sell in Australia. Wildfire is by CF Varsity X and from Blue Ridge Cheerleader 29E (by CCS Sterling II).

do the Ausssie's not scan their bulls? Very valuable information?

Yes we do. They are scanned for eye muscle area, rib and rump fat, as well as have their scrotal circumference measured and are veterinary inspected for soundness and breeding. They are also assessed by breed inspectors to ensure they conform to breed standards. This is all done the day before the sale to provide potential clients with the most up-to-date raw data on the consigments.
Of course, the bulls are also scanned and measured as yearlings and this data submitted to Breedplan to contribute to greater accuracy EBVs. Some breeders scan their bull calves more than once.

Lot 89 seems to be the most balanced from the pictures. I have no clue about the pedigrees.  Lot 89 is my choice.

I really like lot 89 too. He's already been used within the breeders herd for 2 years with calves on the ground.
