Quirks had an Angus bull called Mister T back in the 80's

Here's his pedigree:

I doubt that's the Mr. T you're referring to. His maternal grandsire, Warrant, carried a genetic defect called white-eye.

TNT Mr. T was a Simmental bull, the paternal grandsire of Meyer 734.

No, it was angus.
We have a half blood simm that is reported 1/4 maine, 1/4 angus on her dam side. She is a 2008 module, and I am getting her tested for a donor for simmental purposes, so I called the breeder about her actual bloodlines since I was curious about her dam side and what I might find with the tests (her sire is Macho).
The breeder said her sire was 1113, or maybe it was 113? Who went back to Mister T and the name Maxi was thrown out there. Her Maine side is Draft Pick, but it would be three generations away from this donor. Her dam, by the way, is 13 years old and still producing an AI calf every year! I knew I loved this cow. She is the one that sired the Mo Better bull calf I have pictured on here lots, and who is now sold to Jim Faulkner (thanks Jim!).
We are testing her for everything, I was just wondering what the angus in her was.
Thanks for trying. The link to Mister T is not working.

This was bugging me so I went to the library.  Sure enough in the Feb. 1985 Angus Journal, page 133 there was an ad for MR. T.  AAA 10348273  Good one Dr. Plum.

Mr. T Stats, bw=74, ww=712, Adj 365=1156.

Semen was listed at 50/straw or 100 for two straws and one certificate.  Huge money in 1985 if you ask me.

I did not find anything on 1113, sorry.

So she is really old school genetics, with Mister t and draft pick! Thanks for the help. Maybe the 1113 bull was a herd bull they ran? What about the name Maxi; does that ring a bell?

Thank you again. Angus pedigrees is not my thing. Now Simmental, that is a different matter  ;D

There was a bull called R & J Maxima several years ago.
