Don’t take this the wrong way, but how often do you work with them at home?

Dairy cattle was all I showed growing up and was pretty good at it, but I worked with them pretty religiously at home. Any difference between the rope halter and leather show halter? If they were snotty at home I just walked them longer and longer till they realized I was the boss.

They get walked twice a day for a least an hour get heads tied up for at least 30 minutes and rinsed off everyday washed twice a week FYI they are Ayrshires in which I have 2 cows with nose rings and it fixed them however I don’t really want to put in heifers although their is a lot of shire heifers with rings now days.... a lot of it is coming from the breeding

if you lift your foot to walk, they should too. if you start to shift your balance to take a step, they should too.

animals recognize these subtle changes in posture way more than we do.

the closer that you get to them mentally they way they move, the closer they will get to you.

slight tips of the head while standing with a slight shift in direction will help them move their feet.

the more subtle your move, the smaller the increment they will move their feet.

sometimes when you get good, you can catch their feet in mid-air, stop "pushing or pulling" and set it down with your halter.

She had 2 different big time professionals lead her and she got worse she lead beautifully last year and was in the top 5 at Madison .... she needs something to take the edge  off her in the ring she knows everything and gets worked with professionally.... I know quite few tricks to get them to lead I’m looking at drug remedies to keep them focused I couple heifers are getting shown by 4-h kids and I need something for them to be able to show them to their best potential
