Help I have 3 heifers to AI and am having a hard time deciding on who to use. Have been looking at I-80 or Mercedes Benz.
Have been hearing a lot about Jesse James so have been considering him as well. I wanted to breed to a bull that
the offspring can be registered. Here are pics of the heifers.  The white one is out of  White Liar/ Total solution. The red one is
Heatwave son/ northern improvement- maine.  The black & white one is Heatwave son/Ali purebred maine am thinking of using an angus
on her but would like to use a maine if safe enough.  You may recall seeing them here awhile ago best 2 out of 4 still have all 4.
If you have any bulls you have used successfully for heifers all suggestions will be appreciated.

3 hiefers-i-80 i-80 i80-: If you are worried about the one withAli back there (to me it would be a GOOD THING) -I would breed that one to GUCCI-maybe even Majors Money Man -or Witchdoctor-or the new Total Solution Clone,or Grizzly-or  the proud Jazz full sib,or Elbee Throw Back-Elbee deals work awsome on x-breds:Capt Obvious makes sows almost every time etc.- I personally think there are a ton of choices where you can maintain:the look, the hip and bone-rather than getting a so-so Angus deal-yea yea there are more of them than anything else-but not allways in the x-bred  winners circle-and they no longer hold a patent on function;and calving ease. Maybe take a look @ Nick Reiman's anbus bull, Bush's Unbelievable. There's a reason Nick bought part of the bull.

I like I-80 was worried about the ali one she has tons of bone weighed 105lbs and was a hard pull out of a third calver.  Do you know if he is homozygous black.
I think I saw that he was scurred.

I have good luck using GIGOLO JOE on heifers and they can be registered as maintainers.

I have used Gigolo Joe on the black & white heifer's mother for her second calf slid out
quick and easy didn't know if he was calving ease enough for 1st calf heifers. Also doesn't he throw reds.  Here is a
picture of the Gigolo Joe steer at the county fair he got a blue ribbon I think needed more feed
but he was the gentlest nicest calf you could ask for the family who bought him fell in love with him.

should nvr keep heifers you had to pull.  Those arent the genetics you want to propogate.

I would use one of the shorthorns on the Ali-seriously-for birthwieghts and to level up her hip and structure pins to hooks-and clean up her front-the one to do that-especially hip and top-is Ellbee Throw back-I think Will on here has him-Carl Venable has some semen for sale on CLV Snappy=thread remember snappy-NO BRAINER  super low bw-and GREAT proven club calf genetics PAY ATTENTION-hes a good one on any number of breed combos O0

An interesting opinion in the land of heat wave inspired genetics......

I've gone back and forth about that and thought we'd have her pelvis measured and see if we can give her a chance.

I kept a heifer that was 110 @ birth.. she had a 50lber unassisted a week ago as her first calf.  She is making a good momma.

Jesse James!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can Jesse James calves be registered off a commercial heifer, if that's what the heifers are?
If I am not mistaken, they will be around 13% Chi, which is plenty for the new rule from the Chi association.

I take it consistency isnt a strong suit amongst that line.
