New babies

Started a new thread for dial up users.  The 1st pictures are of the barn burner someone forgot to tell she was supposed to be a steer, it has been really wet and muddy so she looks weathered, but she it really cool.  The last picture is one of our recips that came in at the wrong time for an embryo so she has a calf out of the herd bull, no need to tag this one, we can pick her out of a crowd.  Notice the white tint on the edge of her ears, kind of cool, the kids all want to show this one.
For those that questioned how close we are to I-35, the car in the background is sitting on I-35.

Looks like you guys are 2 to 3 weeks behind us, as far as pastures. It will be a good grass year. Bermuda grass is even starting to emerge, as i've noticed green shoots coming off the stolons.

R you in Iowa? If so where at? I drive on I-35 about twenty times a year going back and forth from Kansas where I go to college to home, Wisconsin.

No, we are in Kansas, green grass is just starting, really has come on this week.

Our grass was coming up good but we have had a cold snap for the past few days and the color is turning dull once again.

Anyway.  Nice calves.  And of course your kids want to show the bwf they always sell better anyway.

That brockle face cow looks better than some peoples donors!

Both calves are out of our herd bull we bought from DeRouchey, he is a Hard Core out of an Angus cow, he was one of the bulls in a Maintainer pen from Denver, we have been really pleased with his calves.
