Im looking at AI'ing 10 black angus/brangus type heifers in the spring and wanted your opinions on some of these bulls ive been eyeing. The list Is below. Just want calves on the ground safe and sound this go around as these girls are my wives babies;) Not expecting to retain many if any due to calving ease bulls typically throwing finer boned calves. Maybe yall have some ideas.. List is below

Welcome, glad you  have cked in <rock> <beer>

The only bull that I have any personal experience with is Special Focus. I bred a bunch of heifers for a neighbor and his goal was the exact same as your's. He had no troubles with any of the heifers. I did use one extra unit that was left over and did get an easy birth bull calf out of a young first calf heifer last spring. Nice calves but you won't do anything with them in a show ring IMO.
I'm fairly sure if you study the CE numbers along with the ACC. percentages you can figure out whether or not to use the bull on 1st calf heifers. Good Luck.

I had a neighbor use him on 40 of his and only had a couple issues... Mostly a calf turned backwards and a coyote got one. Have no real interest in showing animals just yet. But would be tickled if one or two found their way into her small herd or in with my girls. Really just trying to focus on getting them through that rough period. Then would like to come back with real maternal power power. If all goes well I may find myself sticking 5 or 10 of my own next go around.
