I am new to this site and have only posted once before, but I have to comment now. I have watched
this site for some time now,as some would say I am a "lurker". I have enjoyed reading the various posts
about cattle, in particular shorthorns, since I have shorthorns.  I have always liked seeing the posts about different bulls
or breeding programs and especially the history of the shorthorn breed . The only person I have met that could come close to
providing as much history as JIT would be Dr. Bert Moore, my old livestock judging coach from NDSU, and now
Executive Secretary of the American Shorthorn Association. 

This post was originated by someone new to the Shorthorn breed, and we should be taking every opportunity
to provide this individual with as much useful information as possible to make their venture with shorthorns as
pleasant and profitable as possible. I would suggest that if you have any questions regarding shorthorns, contact
JIT,Dr. Moore, or successful breeders such as John Sullivan, and I am 100% sure they will do what ever they can
to answer your questions and help you out. There are also alot of other good shorthorn produceers (quite a few on this site)
that I am sure would be more than happy to work with you. If you would like to PM me, I will do my best to provide you with information.

AJ, the purpose of this site, and  this post in particular, is to provide other breeders with information and opinions.  We don't
always have to agree. In fact, that's what makes it fun is to debate our diferences, BUT WE CAN DO IT IN A POLITE AND DECENT
MANNER. Post information on here that will be helpful, and quit trying to be smart or funny, it's getting old, because you're neither.
As one of the other posters said, you shouldn't have said your from Kansas, because it embarasses everybody else from Kansas.  Well, I
would have to say I am embarassed to say you're from the U.S., the way you have trashed and treated my Canadian friends.

I am a U.S. citizen.  I was at the 2008 Sun Country Bull Sale. I went there to check out HC Timeline 17T. He sold for $20,000. Period.
He was an excellent bull, with all of the qualities that Shadylane described. One thing that really impressed me about timeline as I walked
in the pen and checked himout was his excellent disposition. Very quiet for the amount of handling he had to that point. I was also at the 2009 Sun Country Bull sale,
and had a chance to see Timeline on desplay as a 2 year old, and again he looked very good.  While I have not seen calves off of him yet,
the pictures of his offspring certainly look good.  Looks like he throws alot of style and performance in his calves.
I thought enough of the bull to buy some full sib embryos and will be getting two full sisters to him this spring.
I would say he is probably not a bull I personally would use on heifers, but he is a bull that has alot of positive attributes.

As far as bulls that I have used on heifers the last couple of years, last year I used TM Gus and the year before I used ArSuLu Osage.
Haven't had any 2010 calves out of TM Gus yet.  The 2009 calves out of Osage were good and performed well.  I was wondering if
anyone else out there has had calves out of Osage or K-Kim Baseline and what are your thoughts on these bulls.

This is why I don't post.  I get to long winded. I will stop now.

On another note
Someone is beginning to just look desperate. ......There was a show called MAD Tv. They had a character called Stuart. Go to youtube and will see that the one seeking attention is not too far off from Stuart. Adult acting pretty much like a little kid.
