I have a question about nitrogen poisoning.  I just lost a heifer that was in a grass trap, I had a fertiler spreader there with small amount of Nitrogen (urea) in the buggy.  There is nothing else in this trap that this calf could have gotten into , How fast and what are symptoms of Nitrogen poisoning? Has anyone ever lost a calf this way?

I have heard of this happening before.   I have also heard of grass having to much potasium, causing abortions or early calving.   Have any of our vet members heard of this?
