North Iowa Area Community College is hosting a Beef Clinic on Saturday,April 14th.  It is intended for junior cattle enthusiasts and will include segments on clipping and fitting (instructors from Stock Show U), show calf nutrition,  showmanship, FSQA certification for those wanting to show at the State Fair, and more.  The NIACC Ag Program will be sending information to all area 4-H offices and FFA Chapters.  Should be a great time and very educational for the young showmen!!  If you have any questions, contact me or the NIACC Ag office.l

I don't believe there will be a charge or at least not very much.    We've lined up sponsors for most of the expense.  I'll post a flyer as soon as the NIACC group gets them finished.

We would come down for it, but that is the same weekend as the Spring Classic in Austin, MN.

Maybe next year.

Things are really coming together now.  We may add a session on AI, ET, etc. as well.  If you are interested in attending or know someone who is please have them respond to Abbie Johnson at NIACC---see the flier attached to previous post for more information.

We are putting the final details together for Saturday's clinic at NIACC in Mason City, IA.    We will have Josh Elder conducting the grooming and fitting portion of our clinic.  In addition, Dr. Mike Pugh of Westwood Embryo Services will be on hand with their mobile lab to discuss reproductive issues and embryo transfer, nutritionists from Purina/Land O Lakes will discuss  show rations, and Cory Greiman will conduct a showmanship session.  Also, Mike Anderson will conduct an FSQA  session for those who would like to get their certification for the Iowa shows.

Remember---parents and leaders are welcome!!

We have had a good response in preregistrations and we still have room for more if someone would like to attend.    There is no charge for the clinic due to generous support from Sullivan
Supply, Viafield Cooperatives, Diamond V, and many others.  Let me  know if you're coming so we can have a meal for you.

I'm looking forward to seeing many cattle industry friends on Saturday.
