Who had the grand and reserve steer and what breed was it? Also, how did the steer look? We left early but there seemed to be more animals there than usual.
How many usually show at the Fair? It's my daughters first year with a steer and by chance, at 6:45 Monday evening, realized there was even a show. We're close enough I would have had her up there in a heartbeat if or nothing else than to get her in a familiar place with her steer to shake any nerves.
The numbers seemed to be up this year. I would guess that there were 75 to 100 steers there. The quality of steers also seemed to be better this year. We like the show because it's close and somewhat of a sizeable jackpot were we can go in the morning and leave in the afternoon and not stay overnight. It's a good show to start the season off with. The only negative is that it is very hot. Bring plenty of fans.
