according to one prime time TV program the irrigation canal south of San Diego seems to be working too well, as a fence.  Their are some people that want the US taxpayers to put safety lines in it to prevent law breakers from drowning.

macain wants 6000 "troops"  more as well....and  the cost is about a half a billion dollars more as well ...
take the 1200 national guards and the 500 million dollars  and let the govenor and the state/county and metro police do  there job...
....then let the voters pick the mcain version or the hayward version in a few months .. and get on with it.......,
still cant figure out hows come mcain/ rick perry ect / and the right didnt get this taken care of years ago ??>...when they had the chance to use there majority/plus the bush cheny machine  and the fear of terriosm and unsecoured  borders??>......now mcain thinks this president " isnt doing enough"??...if 70% of arizona reisdents agree with this decision of the govenors, then hayward should be a shoe in this fall.....the tea baggers are on a role.... ;) jbarl

I think we need to bring all our soliders back from over sea's and station them all around the U.S.boarders and at all airports and start protecting our own country.  Mom always said, take care of your own family first!

Most of the politicians are grandstanding - doesn't matter which party.  That's why congress's approval rating is 30% and BamBam's is now less than 50%.  Lots of commotion and promotion, but nothing ever gets done.  Arizona took the right step to try to do something, but politics will gum it up and this country will continue to go to he!! in a handcart until or unless something big unifies the country.

As with almost everything else, the Government throws the media a bone they can talk about while the big stuff - that would make most of us happy - goes unnoticed.

Almost all of our Army installations in western Europe are in the process of being closed or at least scaled back.  A large portion of those units are being restationed to Fort Bliss, TX which is in El Paso.  Fort Bliss has been undergoing a massive expansion in the past 3 years.  That's not a coincidence.

I'll never understand our governments public relations strategy, but believe it or not, most of our congressman and presidents aren't nearly as stupid as people want to think they are or as sometimes they pretend to be.  They know full well that our southern border security is a huge threat to this country.  There is argument as to details on how to go about it, but effort is being shifted in the direction to do whatever may eventually be necessary.  The threat isn't people trying to come here to work, its the drug cartels and other smugglers.

Do you really think the MEXICAN  president came this week to discuss the New Mexico Immigration "attitude" with Mrs Clinton? I would venture a guess he got an ultimatum-and a demand for a timeline concerning the cartel and the damage being done across many borders. In the event there is a small or dispursed group of" movements :to contain and or assist the Mexican govt RE-dangerous groups that threaten thier ,and our national security-it most likely wont be on the news.
