OCC Emblazon 854e

Can anyone tell me the birthweights to expect from this bull. Also I know his legacy is cemented in great females that are functional but can they make show heifers when bred to Maine and Simmental genetics? Thanks for any input.

I have used many of Tim Ohldes bulls including OCC Emblazon 854E.  IMHO Emblazon was and is one of the best female makers Tim ever raised and may be in the Angus breed.  I love his daughters!

Having said that...his calves are lighter in BW and built structure wise to come easy.  However, he is not what I would a calving ease sire and if breeding to a Maine or Simmi influence cow, I am sure you will experience higher birth weights.

As for show heifers...lighter bone, probably not quite as pretty and long enough fronted, not very hairy for show heifers.

Hope this helps!
