Off Topic - Big XII is Dead - Long live the Big XII

It kinda looks like Texas bullied Colorado and nu right out of the league. Nebraska will probably never reach the level they were once at so they took their ball and left. I think it would be cool if CSU from Colorado came into the big 12. Them being a ag school. They could recruit better being in the big 12.

I would imagine the Big Ten Conference commissioner is more than a little upset now that he sees the Big XII teams are going to get almost as much money from TV as the Big Ten teams.  I'm sure he's going to want to renogiate that contract considering all the TV sets they'll get by adding Nebraska to their league.  Some may not like Texas running the show, but let's face it.  What money would Kansas State, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa State, etc., bring to the conference from their TV revenue?  Same goes for Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, and Minnesota.  The rich, Ohio State, Texas, etc., will continue to get richer and the rest hope to survive on the leftovers. 

I would think Nebraska might win the North this year. But if they stumble....have a quarterback go down or something......and win .600 this year I would think the fans would disown even osborne on this deal. makes them look like a bunch of whiny little welps. Whats the favorite wine in Nebraska?  "We have to play Texas.....boo hoo  boohoo. ;D

I'm sure if we have a QB go down we'll blame TO.  Most AD's are good at preventing injuries.

I was not for going to the Big Ten when it was first brought up and it slowly started to grow on me.  The way the Big 12 came back together has made me even more confident there is no looking back.  Governments don't stay together longterm when a dictator is in control, Nor will the Big 12 IMO.

It seems the big ten loves nebraska and nebraska loves the big ten.  Just trying to think what would make kansas or k state apetizing to a conference when the big 12 of texas and it's 9 elves crumble in a matter of time.  Let's see, kansas and K state beat who in what bowls last year, ummm.  oh , did they go to a bowl .    heh heh....

I personally am glad that Nebraska is leavinf the big twelve. The league has a lot more class now. I still think that KU,OSU,KSU,Missouri, and Baylor are good schools.I also agree that Nebraska just compete against the Texas's of the world anymore. I heard a clip today that KSU's revenue will double over the old contract. I understand that Nebraska fans think everybody else is a joke. Alot of these people never even played the game. Some people just like to hear themselves talk. KU has a amazing basketball history. KSU has a lot of history. Missouri is a great school. I have always loved Okalahoma state.I think the fan base at Nebraska ia losing alot of class. I know that 20 years ago the fans were mainly the old farmer who got up at 6:00 am every morning....turned on KRVN....after saying grace and eating breakfast. Most of these people are gone. Now a portion of them are gangbangers. Their coach is known for trying to fight a 70 year old coach after a game for running up the score on Nebraska. He has come close to throwing down refs that made calls against Nebraska. I do think that Nebraska is on a downhill slide from the glory years. When Osborne is no longer there I think this fact will set in. I guess things always change. If you can't compete....change leagues. I was a K-State fan when they went essentially without a win the one year. I will be a K-state football fan when they win 5 games or 10 games.I wish the best for nebraska. They do for the most part have the best fans.I know my wifes cousin worked as an usher at K-State football games. She said that year after year Nebraska fans were always the best mannered bunch. Times are a changing.

I am a third generation aggie and class of '06. my family and I, including many extend family members have had season tickets at kyle field for up to 20 yrs.

We also tailgate spending a lot of time and money during the fall in college station. That all ended today

We are canceling our season tickets and will never again donate to the 12th man until there is all new board of regents minus Gene Stallings, a new ad, new president (that guy is a disgrace).
