Here is a link to a pretty good conversation between Steve Kind (R)-Iowa and Glenn Beck.  They talk about OPEC, ANWR, global warming etc...

I can't believe there isn't a machine that would allow us to hook up an environmentalist's body to an energy drainer, and then discard the waste product, in like, say a quart of dust and fertilize the ground so that plants can grow.  i just can't believe they aren't lining up to do this.  I mean, what have they got to live for.  first they want to abort future humans, next, they want to harvest children up to 2 years old for spare parts, next they will terminate you early if your health liability is too high.  i'm not sure what the end game here is.  all i know is that the government may come for the people before the people come for the government.

it's gonna get worse.  so bad, that at some point, there will be a critical mass to ostracize these people from society through donation elimination and representative change.  but it's gonna get worse.  you can't imagine the people who are jumping up and down with glee out here.  some say they want gas at $10/gal, more if necessary to get people off oil.  at some point, there will be violence.

I heard some comparisons on the radio this morning... and if I remember correctly, that based on the cost for a US gallon ... USA is paying approx $4 per gallon. Canada is now paying $5.20 per gallon, G Britain is paying$8.45 per gallon, Denmark and France  approx $9.10 per gallon, and France $$9.40 per gallon. These prices sound pretty high, but Europeans don't have the miles to travel that most in N America have. Oil anylists predict gas prices to double in 4 years. Hang onto your hats.... this could get interesting!!

holding on to your hats is a good analogy.  they will be bottom up with both hands holding the hat begging.

i have to say the congressional hearings on oil were the worst performance i've seen by congresss in a long time, especially feinstein and durbin.

durbin claiming we are taking money out of the US was just ridiculous.  what's taking money out of the US is not drilling in ANWAR, off the coast of CA, FL TX etc, while at the same time, china, venezuela, etc are drilling in the gulf of mexico and off cuba.

our representatives are THE PROBLEM.  the eliminate options for supply and complain about a 10% profit margin, while microsoft has a 28% margin and is still shipping jobs overseass, wants cheap labor.  At what point will the american public realize we have people who have absolutely no comprehension about economics.  feinstein and her husband have a 600,000,000 dollar investment in china.  it's pretty clear where they think they can make money, it's in manufacturing, not in retail.  yet the voting public on the left wants more destruction.  i say lets give it to them. the country is divided down the middle percentage wise.  uniting this country around it's destruction is no virtue.  wow, i just contradicted myself, what a dork.

in case you don't think the democrats think they don't know what they are doing, listen to this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUaY3LhJ-IQ&eurl=http://neoconexpress.blogspot.com/2008/05/maxine-waters-threatens-to-nationalize.html

maxine waters says "and guess what this liberal will be all about, this liberal will be about socialing.....uhhhhhhh will be about        basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.

i don't see the difference between socialism and nationalism.

i wouldn't call a liberal a socialist or a nationalist.  a liberal just seems to be a means to an end, that being socialism, collectivism, progressivism etc.

we are doomed, this lady is in congress, forcing executives to be lectured on socialism.  think of her consitituency.  we are doomed.

I find that the fact that a sitting US Congresswoman can even get away with saying something like without being politically assasinated appalling.  Maybe Joe McCarthy wasn't as paranoid as we thought?  The communists have infiltrated our government, worse their ideas are being accepted!

This is America.  Putting a windfall tax on Oil Companies right now would be the same thing as windfall tax on grain farmers from the last 2 years.  Grain farmers have had above normal profits.  What would happen if Uncle Sam tried to steal that money?

We can not solve the gas crisis with windfall taxes, protests or whining.  It is a problem of economics.  We have to solve it with economics.  I think the most effective way of protesting the high prices would be to quit going places and spending money.  Go to work, go home and hang out with the family.  Don't go out to eat, don't go shopping.  Everyone needs to tighten their belts to the point that no one is spending any of their income on anything that is not absolutely necessary.  Consumer spending is 2/3 of our economy.  If our own economy is crippled to the point of severe recession,  the environmentalists won't care near as much about the caribou or ocean life when they are getting laid off from their jobs and are staring poverty right in the face.  We need to drill in Alaska, offshore, anywhere there is oil to be found it needs to be drilled.  Wildlife comes second to energy.  Can you imagine if there were liberal wackos around 150 years ago?  We wouldn't be farming or raising cattle now because of all the buffalo.  It's lunacy.  Now Ted Turner has the buffalo and we raise corn and cattle on the buffalos previous habitat.  I think that works a lot better.

They could put an oil rig in my front yard for all I care.  Like I've said before I would put christmas lights on it.

i think the senate once again voted something like 75 25 not to drill in anwar with of course mccain and obama voting for no drilling in anwar.  there truly is no diversity in america.  everything for the state.  remember, diane feinstein and her husband have a 600,000,000 investment in china.  where will manufacturing run to when china gets a middle class.  perhaps back to america if bills like the one feinstein was proposing to limit wages to illegals with a special card to $7.00 over three years.  amazing that the federal government thinks it can negotiate a labor contract, while at the same time import a peasant class (of all races) that will further strain our water infrastructure with more people and their demographic birthrate impact which has never been tested with this much compression which of course some will say as people get richer they have less children (this is not a universal axiom).  i used to be worried that america will crumble.  i'm gettting to the point where we should just bring it on to make it clear to people what will happen.  then they will go "oh, something is wrong, you mean collectivism and dependency don't work?"  even this won't be enough as the rationalization will be, "see those people over there with stuff?, lets go get it, it's ours anyway right, we are part of the state."  the 2nd coming of the french revolution is coming.  in canada, morality is a hate crime, soon, it will be in america.  the only law that is defendable appears to be moral relativism.  this will lead to no law.  the state will be unable to defend anything.  the individual will be unable to take a stance on anything.  logic will dictate that human existence must be eliminated by any means necessary.  it's amazing no one can see the end game of progressive logic.

i just put $60 of gas in my hybrid today.  south dakokta just approved a refinery, on the same day that CA supreme court just affirmed gay marriage in spite of the fact that it will appear on the ballot this fall to amend the CA constitution.  this will create a group of people in legal limbo if the amendment passes.  next will be polygamy.  definitions will mean nothing.  escape from the slippery slope will be illegal.  the fall of rome will be compressed to a time window you will be able to see in your lifetime and appear in textbooks rather than over a course of a few hundred years.  beware the visiting californian, they just might stay in your area and "progressively" change you.
