Guys, last week I participated in a meeting that is changing some rules for import semen and embryos to Brasil.
The rules will become more flexible.
So, I woould like ask if some guys have available semen of bulls collected on past. I show interest on Maine Anjou, Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus as well.
If some one have surplus straws that can be open for share some ones with me, I will appreciate.
Please send me a mail or PM with bulls available and prices intention please.
Thank you.

Some Leader 9th just sold last weekend at the Little Cedar sale.  I think I read that it brought $200/amp.  There's more out there.  Leader 6th may be a little more difficult to find than Leader 9th.

I heard that someone had a good inventory of Leader 6th but I can't remember who it was. Does anyone know?

Bob Miller, Fordville, ND has a fair bit of Leader 6th semen yet. I don't think it is exportable to any other countries. Bob was the last person to own Leader 6th and I have asked him why he doesn't use some of it again. He  says the Leader 6th daughters did not milk as good as he wanted and they had poorer performance than he wants in his cattle today. I have used a son of Leader 6th ( Pheasant Creek Leader 4th) and he certainly did downsize his offspring, but I am pleased with the milk they have. Mind you this grandson of Leader 6th is out of one of our heaviest milking females.

Leader 6th is not my unique option as well. But is one!
For export we need only pedigree and DNA, also check some sanitary details using one straw for test. If semen was collecton semen central, is almost OK.
If some one have semen that wish clear the tanks, please inform me.
I will try get more details about it, as the rules for these old semen are not same for new semen collect. At least also new semen will receive new flexible rules for enter in Brazil, got this win for us!

Swing the GAte shorthorn sale coming up in Dixon, IL.... several older semen lots.

Ron Robarge, OH has been a collector of older semen over the years. Possibly Maines too?

Jeff Townsend, MI- is a collector of full blood Maine genetics.

HUB's Ranch  might part with more HUB's Director ?

Bob Miller,ND  has a library of older bulls stored and yes the last owner of Leader 6th.

The last person to consign "tank"  was Kurt Hively in south east, OH.

Wexvale Polar Bear- moderate dual bull from the 70's is still available by Wexvale Farms, Michigan.

Bradley Eisinminger, PA has a library of nearly everything. His sale is coming up and his information is on line. Woodside Shorthorns is one of the oldest reg herds in the USA. He might a fun breeder  to visit regarding details of bulls.

Good luck with this search
