I am wondering what others would suggest breeding our heifers too? We are open to suggestions but prefer to use a shorthorn bull, thinking about Captain Obvious, MAV Bellringer, Hot Commodity. Any other suggestions.

Look to breed for replacement heifers to help build our herd. Also we will be showing along the way. But we are looking to breed for functional females that have that appeal in the show ring which is our second priority.

My bull A&T Renegade 124 is a very good calving ease bull and proven. Calves are up headed, clean fronted, and have great phenotypes. Available through Cattle Visions. Message me if you have any questions.

DMH Cherry Fillet Reg. #4184918 is the bull we used on heifers last year and have had the best luck with.  Calves come easy and are up and going right away.  The calves do have a great look to them too.  We are breeding every heifer to him next year.

How are your Leader calves doing?  We sold a really good son to Steve McGill and have a couple of heifers kept back that look good.  I noticed that Waukaru had 2 sons in their bull sale that really good weaning performance.  Hope your calves are doing as well.

They look good right now. They have great width and ample depth a neighbor and I are going to retain one of the bulls and use him.
