opinions on computer software

I am planning on getting a photo editing program for my computer here in a couple months to play around with and taking pics of our prospects, then editing the halter out, adjusting the background etc. I dont have a MAC so i would need something for Windows. I was looking at wal-mart and I have heard a lot of great things about photoshop. Which would you get the Photoshop or another program?

Photoshop is cheap and easy.

It will do everything you've described above, and much more.

Photoshop will do almost any thing, once you get to know it. It is very easy to use.

We use Photo Shop Elements and it does way more than we need! Full Photo Shop can be expensive and has so much it can be overwhelming. Elements will handle most everything you need.
