What do you think? He weighs around 650 in the pic at 5 months of age. He's currently a bull, but i might make him a steer this fall. Opinions good or bad, and should i keep him a bull or steer him. Thanks

Pretty growthy indiviudal. Looks like he has some natural muscle. I am not sure though he is very balanced. One picture is hard to judge as it is one view and may not represent him in the best light.

Do yourself a favor and photo this calf in a natural back drop.  Probably a better topped calf then what you have pictured? REtake please with his head turned slightly tword the camera.

I say keep him a bull. We need more loose structured bulls like that.
agreed (thumbsup)
I'm with you guys. However, in addition to the affore-mentioned, very positive qualities, I think he needs to be just a "tick'' ( or two) more masculine ( remember, early puberty among heifers, and virility among bulls used to be selling points of Shorthorn cattle), with a rounder rear foot ( with a deeper heel).

Like his color. Great hair. Rocket front.
