I am in search for some new heifers to bring our  purebred numbers up and maybe find a decent foundation female. I stumbled across this heifer and am more than likely going to buy her, just wanted to get some input.
She is a K-Kim Cruiser X the 10 Queens  Cow family    born in October '07
Not the best pictures, but I would rather look at females in there work clothes than all prettied up.
Thanks for the input.

Congrats!
I really admire her.  She seems to have a good natural thickness, bone, length, refinement, and spring of rib.  Usually the ones you "stumble" upon, end up to be the good ones!!

nice heifer but I'm concerned the way her back leg wants to go in. that's a big problem in the show ring. Otherwize a nice heifer!

She has some style.  As for the legs I believe it may be the way she was twisted around there.  Anyway nice heifer.

Oh Red!! hahaha I had to talk  myself into posting that picture from behind for that very reason. The picture makes her look as if her hind leg goes inward, when in reality it does not. She is as sound and correct as they get on all 4. She just had to stand like she didnt know any better, haha! I am very concerned with soundness and that is the major thing we look at above all. I really appreciate the input!!!
Thanks for looking guys, please let me know what you all think.

ShowmanQ, I think you are very smart. Soundness should take priority over most/all traits. Nice heifer.

Thanks Telos!!! I appreciate the compliment, but seriously this has always been our phiosophy. "which one makes you more money? the SUPER PRETTY crippled female that goes down at 5 yrs old, or the 15 yeard old cow with a little less eye appeal that consistently gets bred, has a calf, and moves like a cat???" SOUNDNESS above all is what we are about. I appreciate Red's concern with the legs in the picture, so that I could clear that up.
Thanks guys!!

Besides her pedigree, color and phenotype she looks like a great one. I say don't buy her, but if you could PM me the breeder and how much they want for her it would be greatly appreciated.  ;D

HAHA!!! That is a good one, I am not ashamed to tell you that you almost got me with that one until i read it all the way trough. I have no problem telling you where she is coming from, but you'll have to wait until next weekend when they bring her to Ohio for me HAHA. I suppose that post was a round about comment so thanks ...lol!

That is a pretty dang nice heifer.  If she was washed and fluffed up, I bet she would look pretty dang tough.  I think she could end up being that foundation female that you're looking for.  She has a really nice pedigree too...you should get some really nice calves out of her.

There are 3 registered Cruiser heifers born in Oct. 07. Throw in the cow family and I'm going to guess you didn't just stumble across this female. Nobody just stumbles across a female in Modoc IN. Am I getting warmer?

I just came back to this thread to say something of the same sort itk!! Excellent detective work.  I thought that it would be hard to stumble across a Cruiser x 10 Queens calf, but stranger things have happened!!

ShowmanQ- I wouldn't mess around on this one..she's probably going to go fast if you dont snatch her up!! Itk might want her, but I'm a lot closer to her than he is!!

Dang! I thought i recognized the White, painted wooden fence-posts and saggy, un-stretched web-wire in the background!

That's a "Cates'' background, so easily recognizable, from years of reading their sale catalogs & ads.

Now your operation is MOVIN up. Enjoyed talking with you at OBE!
If she is out of CF 10 queens and Cruiser she has some powerful genetics. I like her. Being sound buy her! Good top and nice body for an October baby. Keep us updated!

Well there are some detectives on here arent there? ;D Well guys, sorry to be the one to tell you, but she is getting on a trailer next week and coming to my farm!!!!! WOOHOO!!!  (clapping) (clapping) (clapping)I did'nt exactly mean "stumbled upon" literally. A good friend and partner of mine went out to see Brian about some bulls and having spoken to Brian earlier in the week, he showed my friend the heifer, he took some pictures and here we are. SHE IS SPOKEN FOR...FOR SURE!!!  I have put a down payment on her and when Brian gets home from vacation he is loading her up and bringing her this way with another heifer and 2 bulls (no not all for me but wouldnt that be nice?) I am excited to get her home and start her show career. I appreciate all the kind comments about her. We will see what she does in a couple years and if she ever becomes worth flushing I promise you all will be the first to know!!!
Thanks
