Organic eggs and salmonella

If eggs picked up Salmonella from rodents, shouldnt we be really concerned with eggs coming from organic and small farms where chickens have exposure to all kinds of varmints?

no, it's organic.

production agriculture = radiation = asbestos etc.

in fact, salmonella is probably good for you if it's from organic food.

lot's more deaths from other stuff, but that's not important.

there should be a USDA inspector in every home.

we could even call it economic stimulus.

LOL...good point in your first sentence Knabe......organic is the new "wonder" word.  Doesn't always mean safe...
The Key is cook and store your food properly and you will be farther along.

The fact that they made such a big deal about rodents being found in the buildings was so ridiculous. How many of you PPL haven't had a mouse in your house? Now the fact that there was feces flowing out of the building is a problem. The salmonella problem is coming from the egg shell, not the inside of the egg.

salmonella can be inside the eggs.

haven't seen a good breakdown of those though compared to outside.

the recalls are bordering on ridiculous by the continual favoritism of consolidation by our government and large corporations who write the rules and are able to pass on costs of regulations easier.  that said, there are only so many plants and the fact that the government doesn't live on the farms and actually run production is bordering on insane for how few facilities there are.

the logic of processing all our food through so few branch points is in my view, against everything i learned in pathology.
