We have a calf that's eligible shortjorn plus and is consigned to a sale in à month.  Is it better for me to go ahead and paper calf then transfer new ownership. Or have paperwork ready and let new owner send in.

If you want to be sure that all of the information on the registration is correct, I would do the paperwork and then transfer to the new owner.  3rd parties don't seem to care as much about the integrity of your herd prefix as you do when they are filling out the papers.

Paper the calf and then transfer.

We won't buy a breed steer unless the papers are present.  Been down that road, and never got the papers.

Paper the calf but wait to print and transfer. You can email a copy of the paper - waiting to print and transfer I think saves you a couple of bucks?
