Here are a few rough pasture pics we snapped the other day on a few of the steers.  Im relatively new to raising club calves, hoping to peddle a few calves this fall.  I can sell county fair steers pretty easily, but hoping to step up my game a bit.  Local consignment sales?  NILE? This type of calf fit the bill?  Thanks!

Nice calves!

I really like the 3rd calf.  In fact, enough to ask where you are located.  I may have a home for that one.  My place!

Who's his daddy?  What about the mama?  How big is he gonna get?  When was he born?  What does he weigh?

Also, edit your post to tell us about each of the calves.

Nice work!

We are located 90 miles Northeast of Denver in Brush, Colorado.  All calves are sired by Bold Maneuver (Eye candy x PB Galloway).  Bull was raised by Bobby Wellner, who also bred Eye Candy.  He was owned Steve Welling of Utah.  Calves born the last week of February through the middle of March.

The chromed up calf is out of a Godfather sired brockle face cow.

Dam of the second calf is a Connealy Dateline out of an awesome red angus cow I own.

Third guy is out of a 3/4 angus cow (Duff Outlook/All About You X PB Angus from Lee's).  This cow is out of one of the most maternal females we own.  Super moderate frame size.  This is her third calf, so I have a hard time gauging how big he will get.  His half sister is floating around as a bred and she looks great.  He won't be too tall, I can guarantee that.  This guy looks like a gorilla.  Hes super thick, squatty and cocky.

Fourth is out a commercial simm angus cow.  Hes a little too moosey to be competitive, but he'll be an easy feeding one.

They're a pretty straight forward set of calves.  Haven't been on creep feed, and been baking up in the heat in Eastern Colorado.  They are gonna put it on when I get them on some feed, and seeing they are all 3/8 galloway they will hair up like crazy.  Any other questions?  I'll try to attach another of that third calf for your viewing
delight, but he was a little prick out in the pasture so no guarantees.

Good looking set of calves.  That third one is your ticket to a bigger show (and bigger $$$).  In my opinion the other three are more county/local fair kind of steers.

Thanks for the opinions and interest! I'm excited to mess around them a bit this fall. I'll get better pics up when I start breaking on them. Any recommendations for getting my feet wet in prospect sales/shows? I'm pretty mobile And am not shy to travel a bit. Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas.

That little red one in my pic was a sunseeker heifer i raised last year. She is sticking around the place as a bred :) here's a photo of her a little roughed out before a show in march.

Im pretty sure Im going to drag a pen of steers up to the NILE in Billings.  See how he does up there!  Anyone know what the sale averaged there last year???  I've looked high and low, and cannot find it for the life of me. :-\

Heres an update on the calves, thought you'd like to see the same ones two months later, with three days of work under their belts!

The first steer looks to be coming along nicely.  He needs to see some feed to help smooth his lines.  Right now he looks a little "piecey".

The second steer is a little frail in my opinion.  As for the heifer, I'm an angus guy so I like a little softer look but she should be useful for what you are doing.
