I don't know anything other than the pic and the video I saw and I liked what I saw.

AJ, I have 2 due in about a week. I'll let you know then. As of right now I'm super excited. A friend saw calves at Peltons and said they were badass.

I went and found the video and it maybe just me but I thought he moved a little hard off of his back wheels. Other than that I liked the bull.
Interesting that he is a half sib to Mann Red Box 55C.
Any thoughts about the U2 Renown bull?

I almost bought a heifer by him this past fall. She was super good, sound and stylish while maintaining that brood cow thickness.

I used a Red Angus naturally. He was a "Detour" son. The calves were easy calving........stlyish......and they came up a hair short on growth. I'm shooting for a smaller cow though.

AJ we used the Detour bull here and just loved the cattle. Those heifers are going to calve this week and I'm really impressed with their udders as for now. They are on the smaller end of of our breeds but are built so good that I'm really excited to see what they have. Reds don't typically live up here in the altitude. But we had no problem with them. Not one case of high altitude disease in that set. I'm pretty sure I'll go back to him this spring.

I think Detour makes them as good as any in the Red Angus breed right now.

I really liked the him in the picture you posted on here a few years ago.  Did you ever collect him? Did you raise him or did he come from wildcat creek?

I bought him at the first Smoky Y Ranch Red Angus sale. They may have bought him in dam or something. Smoky Y has a hell of good herd now. They have an annual bull sale.
