I was searching the Club Calf Sire list on Cattle Visions website and noticed several bulls with PHA and TH status "Unknown".

Does this mean these bulls have never been tested?  I'm not as familiar with PHA and TH as it's not tested in the Simmental breed which is what I have shown since I was young.  Just recently we have started picking up some crossbred cattle and looking at other breeds to produce better cattle.

I always thought bulls had to be tested prior to selling semen on the open market but maybe that's not the case?

If you want to know on a particular bull you could ask on here, it might be known. They may be older bulls and not been tested.

What is really aggravating is on younger bulls when it says TH/PHA status is pending -- for years?  It takes what, 10 days to get the results back?  If they won't list it, I assume they are carriers if there are carriers in the pedigree and even then don't necessarily trust the pedigree.

last time I used Beever to check blood work, it took me over 2 months to get results.. Keep in mind, this was also, and will remain, the last time I use Beever's lab.
