amen x outrageous/total play really hate to cut him he is out of our most productive cow. Whats some of you all thoughts on him? for a video go to newhopeshowcattle.blogspot.com. Also interested in knowing what other people had out of amen and how were the birth weights? This one weighed 88# but he was just so chunky made that i could see some problems maybe. Thanks to everyone who answers i appreciate it Josh Humphries. The steer is also for sale anyone interested send me a personal message on here and i will get back to you.

Wow! I love the look of that little guy and I'm sure someone will snap him up quick as a bull. I am thinking of using up some Amen we had in the tank on a couple of low percentage Limis, so I am curious also what peoples' luck has been with him.

We had 2 Amen calves in March, both out of TH carrier Golden Child cows.  Really like both of them.  The bull calf is more stout than any other calf we have except a Walks Alone.  The heifer is really nice made and feminine.  Should make a nice female.  Both have pretty good hair.  Definitely using more of him on our TH carrier cows. I have been clipping on them so I will post some pics soon.  I definitely think he is under-used.

i think you are right i  bet there will be alot of positive cows will get bred to him this spring. We are not going breeding a positive bull this spring going to breed amen and hard whiskey. Amen to the cows that have heatwave or heat seeker back in their pedigree's.  Then Hard Whiskey to rest of the cows clean or positive for some 1/2 blood maine's for replacement females. I thought he was the best bull at denver this year by far. What did some of you all think about him and if you are planning on using some hard whiskey what kinda of cow do you all think he will click with the best?

I have only seen 2. Got a bull out of a RWF hereford angus cow and come out solid black and 102 pounds. Born fine but touch big for me. In-laws had a heifer calf. Come backwards and vet but out and alive but she was over 100 or dang close too it if I remember right! But I would say nicest calves I have seen all spring. Will use again but will watch and make sure cow can handle him.

In-laws are bottle feeding theirs.......

My hereford angus cow has had 2 In Dew Time ET hfr calves weigh under 80, an angus bull calf in low 80's, and a pair of twin Headliner's that were 70 and 80. It wasn't her that added the birthweight. 4 days overdue and I induced her as she was vaginally prolasping....came out fine but as I said earlier watch the cow and you will be fine! Mine is sure good. Awesome hair, bone, stout and got the look. He stops you when you look at him! I'm going to use his maternal brother too this year Simple Math.

I am really surprised when Amen's sister is a baldy and out of a herf/angus cow I get not a tick of white! Don't care what color they are when they are alive and good tho!

Thanks i think he is a good one too sure would like to get him to a good home. i had some simple math calves born last fall one of the steers out of a big rugged bone simmy cow was nice he brought 4250 through a sell back in the end of February.wish he had been a heifer he had the perfect blaze face to. i would think that the simple maths should make some good cows. all of our calves were 75-80 pounds except one out of a hw daughter she was a 105 pound dead one. that is like having a 125 pound steer in march. Calves that we have born in august and september are always at least 10 maybe 20 pounds lighter than our calves that are born in march and april.

Anxiously awaiting an Amen calf. This cow generally runs about 7 days over and is at that point now. She adds BW to everything so hoping she gets with the program soon with hearing his calves are coming on the bigger side as well. Keep the calf reports coming in.

Finally had our Amen calf this week. Keep in mind this cow averages 7 days over and always adds BW. Eleven days over due, 126 lb. unassisted heifer, huge bone, and a ton of hair out of a clean cow. Very impressed with this calf, hopefully she is as impressive this fall.

This is our Amen bull calf...super stout and sound! Probably weighed around 90 lbs at birth out of a Golden Child cow.  Looks to have a similar color to him as the rest of the calves you guys have been posting out of Amen!
