So I'm going to be putting up pics of donors on our website probaly early summer or fall, not sure which yet. My question is do you think I should use a pic from them at the show with the shows sign OR wait until fall, clip them out good, fit them, and snap the picture in the pasture when I have the help? They are all actually pretty hairy right now, so that wouldnt be an issue, but what do you think is more appealing to a possible customer?

Ok great! That answers my question right there. Now another question would be, should I include a pic of them at the show plus the post calving pic or just the post calving pic?

100% agree. i like seeing them mature in there working clothes with maybe a little side picture of the shows they may have won when they were dressed up

if she is a mature cow, then i agree while she is lactating and in her "summer slick" when she looses all her winter hair and working this summer in the  pasture, little bit of kleen sheen to shine her up and go

if she is a 2-3 year old donor, use her picture at the show, then when she gets fully mature get another shot like i said above. JMO

For me, if I have one that I think is gonna be IT, I'd get that great pic as a prospect at a show, one as a heavy bred heifer (right around NAILE to NWSS time for spring yearlings), and then the pic as a cow. You can use those pics for advertising as she ages, and by the time she is a broody ole gal, you could have some serious business lined up. I love seeing how the big time heifers progress instead of just going off the show photos from 2-3 years ago.
