I have a 1250 pound steer that has gotten to the point of not eating hardly anything I put in front of him. I've tried just about everything. Just lookING for some advice on what others have done in the past to get a steer back on feed? He is also burping a lot so I suspect his rumen is off so I also need advice on what prebiotic to give him to get his guts back in line. Anything helps!

How much time do you have?  What weight are you trying to get him? What are you feeding him?

3 things that have worked for us.

1. Grass hay with lots of stems
2. Cotton Seed Hulls
3. Amaferm

I would hit him with something like Sullivan's Show Road Super Charge B12 Paste, and then add a granule probiotic daily to his feed. As far as feed, you may want to back him way off or even take him off feed for a few days, just plenty of good hay and then slowly work him back on to feed, and don't push him to hard just work him back up to a decent ration.
If he still turns his nose up to his feed, you may have to get creative, start with a wet cobb, a few pounds a feeding to start, add a fat and protein source slowly, like Stabilised Rice Bran for fat and calf manna for the protein, along with loose mineral.

Your goal is to get his gyt right and then back to gaining without setting him back again. Always have a good rough stemmed hay available as well to keep him gut working right.
