Really bad bad to see a young farmer-feeding 600 head get hit like that:seeing millions in assetts blown away-I experienced that too-much less the suffering of the animals and the people who had to put the wounded ones down,I have some friends near Stanton:-Loren Tyjeckel and his family are CERTAINLY my friens JMO-and I hope they are OK-If Malane(Aberteees) still gets on here-let me know O0

I emailed Malaine Tuesday morning to make sure she was okay and here was her response.

Thanks!!  One of the tornadoes was 5 miles north of mom and dad's house.  Lot's of dead cattle in feedlots.  It is pretty darn scary.  It has been a wild June so far.  Another system had a tornado last night touch down in Burwell which is 1 1/2 hours southwest of us.  Sounds like another round tomorrow night.

Don't know if they got hit with the storm that went through last night(Tuesday).

Know they are busy getting ready for Jr. Nationals.

Our daughter is in the Sioux Co. area in NW Iowa and they had flooding.  Is it Sioux Falls that had incredible rain?  Was I29 closed?

I feel sorry for the people with tornadoes.  We had a "tornado day" off from school last fall with over a hundred structures damaged, but it was not the kind of destruction in Nebraska.  Washington is not a big city, but it took over an hour to drive across town that day.
