I like the idea, but I think that you should make sure to see if it comes out before you bring her to the show.

I think It would be a neat idea. I know if we did that down here there would be all kinds of people in the barns. You could even do black stripes. Turn her into a zebra and decorate her stall with jungle stuff.  (lol)

The past 4 years at our county fair(which is really a 6 county fair) everyone in each barn had to work an Ask Me Booth. We set them up at the entrance of the barns to answer questions on our projects. But if you do decide to do that BEWARE of the people who ask "how come they're tied up all day with no water? isn't that mean?" or "so you make a bond with this animal and then you just send it off to be killed??" Those are tough questions but there are ways to logicly and Ethicly explain them.

Maybe you could try some Kool-Aid.....when I was a kid my parents didn't want me to color my hair.... so for Hallowe'en one yr. we mixed some Kool-Aid powder with a bit of water and combed it through our hair!!! We were a bunch of cool punk rockers that Hallowe'en!!! You could mix a few packets of strawberry or cherry powder in a spray botlle with some water, not a whole lot, otherwise it would dilute it ou too much... and and spray it on to the heifer and then blow her dry...... voila... you have a colored heifer!!! Our color washed out the next shampoo... I'm not guaranteeing what would or wouldn't happen in your case...but I would try it... but that's just me....let me know what you do.... It's our 65th yr of 4-H in our community... that just give me some cool ideas as well...... (clapping) (clapping) ...Momma Hilltop....

Just thought of this-OXI Clean makes some sprays. They would work great for cleaning up what the bath doesn't get...I use it fine on the ponies & sheep and haven't had any probs with it burning etc.
