It seems like every year we have a mating that for some unknown reason was not planned, but worked.  Two years ago we purchased a Man on a Mission x Blue Mamba (Vegas x Stockman 365)  heifer from Winegardner's sale and bred her to Bandwagon, she was stressed shortly after breeding her and slipped the calf early on.  We were going to breed her back that way, but due to workload, we just put her in with our herd bull, which is a Sooner out of BK Xactly (Open Bar), a very nice bull.  We expected the calf to be basically a throw away, but we have been "pleasantly surprised"  pictures were taken at three weeks, mom has done a great job raising her.  She has already sold and is due to be picked up at weaning.  Would love to have a bunch more.  I am sure we are not the only ones that this has happened to this year
