Popping pasterns help

so we have this calf that only pops in a show ring. idk why but i would love to fix it. is there some kind of stretches to do or something? he doesn't do it anywhere except in a show ring

you are asking two questions.  the validity of the observation and a solution to popping pasterns.  selenium seems to be a common response.  you could take a blood test.
as far as stretching goes, that's why i always get my animals used to stretching by picking their feet up at an early age.  sometimes the tightness is up top and the symptoms show down below.  i would try deep massage.  if he tenses up in the showring because he's slightly stressed picking up on you being more stressed, this might be an issue.  get yourself a deep massage too.

You might try walking your calf backwards, this usually works for me but occasionally it doesn't. She may also need her feet worked on even if they aren't long you may have an experienced hoof trimmer take a look.
